Mwasalat, the public transport company in Muscat, is set to commence its operations in Sharjah starting from February 27th.
The bus service will include routes via Shinas, with fares beginning at RO10 for one-way trips and RO29 for return journeys. Passengers will be allowed a baggage allowance of 7kg for hand carry and 23kg for check-in luggage.
Departure timings from Muscat are as follows:
- The first bus will depart at 6:30 am from Azaiba Bus station, arriving at Al Jubail bus station in Sharjah by 3:40 pm.
- The second bus will depart at 4:00 pm from Azaiba, reaching Al Jubail bus station in Sharjah by 1:10 am.
For travelers departing from Sharjah:
- The first bus will depart at 6:30 am from Al Jubail bus station, arriving at Azaiba Bus station by 2:30 pm.
- The second bus will depart at 4:00 pm from Al Jubail bus station, reaching Azaiba Bus station by 11:50 pm.
Mwasalat, a part of Asyad Group, recently inked an agreement with the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority for this passenger transportation service. The agreement was signed by Badr bin Mohammed al Nadabi, CEO of Mwasalat, and Eng Yousef bin Khamis al Othmani, Chairman of Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, underscoring the commitment of both parties to enhance cooperation between Oman and the UAE in vital sectors like transport and tourism.
